I get a lot of comments from people asking "Is there an order in which I should watch your videos?" and my answer is always to watch them in the order of my "Music Theory Playlist" (which can be found here: https://youtu.be/sWAaJF9Wk0w ). But I wanted to step back and make some very introductory videos for those of you who are really looking to start at the beginning of things. So this is my first Music Theory 101 video. Let me know if there are other topics you'd like me to cover in this series. And if you're here for the more complex stuff.. don't worry, I'll be making plenty of those videos soon too ;).
In this video we talk about things like the chromatic scale, half steps, whole steps, sharpening and flattening notes, enharmonic equivalents, and what the difference is between a note and a chord.
