The Globe / Temco Swift is considered by many as the ultimate personal airplane. It’s not blazingly fast nor efficient. Not a STOL machine either, and for the unprepared pilot, can be a bit challenging to fly. But there are those who appreciate such challenges, and mastery of this little plane’s handling rewards its operators with a feeling of being one with the machine. Not to mention its WWII fighter plane pedigree, defined by its warbird looks.
The Swift is 80 years old, and over the years has become a cult classic.
