Since 1 year of the Addict music video is tomorrow and I've been wanting to make an Angel Dust animatic for a while now, here is one where it's to Bo Burnham's "Goodbye". A lot of artists I've seen make animated vents with the song so I thought it would be a good fit for Angel breaking down because of how Valentino has negatively affected him.
Story:
The story takes place after the Addict music video where Angel is having a mental breakdown when he sees an old version of himself that he feels like he's repeating or just is seeing in a flash(even if it's not from 14 years ago). Valentino's smoke also starts to appear and a flash of Valentino appears before Angel's eyes. All Angel wanted in this animatic were loving relationships as anyone would which show Valentino and Angel starting off in a healthy relationship but of course, as we have all seen, Valentino is a jerk to Angel and it becomes unhealthy. I also included his friendship with Cherri Bomb since he and Cherri have a great friendship in the series. I also show him avoiding Charlie and also being stuck inside his hotel room with Fat Nuggets. Angel wakes up in his room filled with Valentino's smoke and after Valentino's numerous texts, he calls him which shows Angel breaking down with Miraculous Ladybug and Addict themed elements with the heart glasses and cuffed chains from the flash in the music video. Angel is still in contact with Valentino even in the pilot so that was an idea of why I would include him being in contact with Valentino. Angel picks up the phone and Valentino says that he's outside of the hotel where he lives.
Angel in Hazbin Hotel is such a relatable character for me and the Addict music video made me cry and also better understand Angel and his past with Valentino besides what was shown in the pilot and comic. I hope you guys enjoy what I have created.
