We all want eternal peace, right? A teaching the Guru gives us is to always wish the best for others, even if they've hurt us. It's not easy to practise, especially if that hurt feels so deep and becomes a trauma. Just by wishing the best for others doesn't mean Guru Ji is saying be inactive or accept a negative situation - in some situations we may indeed need to take some active steps to deal with a toxic situation. However the Guru teaches us that to have eternal peace, we must wish the best for others in our mind no matter what the situation.
You may be called crazy or mad for wishing the best for all. That's the kind of crazy Bhagat Kabir Ji and the Gurus called themselves. Bhai Baljit Singh explains more in this video, followed by beautiful Kirtan by Bhai Rajan Singh.
