Day 3.
We left Jackson and headed to Bannack State Park.
I thoroughly loved walking the road leading into this ghost town and thinking about what it used to be.
What looks like a movie set, was once home to 3,000 people in the peak of the gold rush.
From Bannack, we headed to the Missouri River Headwaters. During the Lewis and Clark expedition, this was the place the boats were pulled from the waters before heading to the west coast on horseback.
Amazing to think we were standing at the very place William and Meriwether had once been.
The night ended in White Sulpher Springs. And we met Simon and Nina from Switzerland.
Day 4.
We began the day having breakfast with our new friends. Then we all loaded in the dually and headed for the Great Falls airport.
We dropped Simon and Nina off with the thought we would get to see them one more time before they headed back to Switzerland. That, unfortunately, didn’t happen.
So happy our paths crossed!
