The Shaper Origin hand-held CNC router is hands down my favorite workshop tool. https://www.shapertools.com/en-us/origin
Loads of fun and it lets me do things I’d never try without it.
The SO is a handheld router, so it rides on its base, and as a result it needs help to span uneven surfaces or wide unsupported spans. A gadget called the Zed Sled helps in those situations.
The Zed Sled is the invention of Andrew WR, a regular poster on the Shaper Origin user forums. Be sure to take a look at his beautiful and inspiring projects. https://community.shapertools.com/?_gl=1*6tetsi*_gcl_au*MTY3NTc5MzUzNC4xNzM5OTk5MjQ1

Andrew has generously created and shared a set of detailed instructions on how to build the Zed Sled. You must, must, must go there for build instructions, parts list, etc.:

There is also a detailed thread concerning the Zed Sled on the Shaper Origin user forum. The thread is a must-read if you plan to make the Zed Sled. https://community.shapertools.com/t/a-whole-new-way-to-use-shaper/13500
You can use a web-based domino generator to create a file for printing your Dibond sheet: https://browncowww.pythonanywhere.com
I ordered my sheet from Square Signs: https://www.squaresigns.com Be sure to specify “No Scaling” when you order.
A US-based parts supplier is Open Builds: https://us.openbuilds.com But Open Builds did not have the carbon fiber sheet for the sled itself. I got that from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DZH5Z24/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
