Today we are going to archive the first Zelda game on the channel and we start with one of my favorites. The very first Zelda I properly played was Majora's Mask and it blew me away, so naturally I was very excited for the next upcoming title. Many people raised an eyebrow when they saw the art style and the youthful Link. But I was at the right age back then where I felt really connected with Link in this game.
The game looked cute, vibrant and colorful. It looked like a world I wanted to explore. Together with your trusted sail boat The Red Lion you go out on an epic journey on the seas. And there is just something surprisingly relaxing about venturing on the waves as the sun shines down on you and the seagulls fly next to the boat. This game really gives me that vacation feeling that some games can give you.
I own the original Gamecube version, but was very excited when it got remastered for the Wii U with a HD version that also added bloom to make it look even prettier. I got really far in the past, but never completed the game so it also felt like an awesome accomplishment to have finally beaten it. It is a game that still stands the test of time and the graphics are timeless. Wind Waker is a game I will play many more times in the future and it always brings a smile on my face. Top 3 Zelda games for sure!
