Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger believes Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has “zero chance” of achieving a majority government at the next federal election.
The latest YouGov poll released on Sunday indicated the Coalition will secure more seats than Labor – 73 to 66 - in a likely hung parliament at the next election.
“There’s zero chance of Albanese winning in his own right – let’s start with that,” Mr Kroger told Sky News Australia.
“I’ve said for months I think Dutton is favourite to win. He could get up to a majority in his own right – that’s quite possible.
“Labor appears to be in trouble in seats around the Hunter now, and they’re in trouble in seats in Victoria around the 5-6 per cent mark like Bruce.”
