Episode 89 It feels good to be back in Ohio, on this episode we're up north exploring the Akron Zoo's Grizzly Ridge. A woodland trek through the hillsides, meadows, and rivers of North America. More specifically the ridge is a celebration of Ohio's living wildlife and even wildlife that is now extinct to the state. There's rescued bald eagles, Grizzly bears, overactive river otters, and a wolf with a wild population you wouldn't believe. In zoos, forest themed attractions are often overlooked, but the Akron Zoo made sure that will never be the case for the Grizzly Ridge - enjoy. Species List 1. Bald Eagle 2. Indeed, this book represents the first critical look at U.S. aquariums in 24 years - a period in which much has changed. Each essay concludes with a synopsis of the best exhibits and unusual species to be seen at that particular facility. Also included in this section is an overview of conservational projects at the zoo or aquarium under discussion. Full color imagery illustrates each review; remarkably this is the first time that a guide to U.S. zoos and aquariums has offered such an essential aspect.
