Kannada actress Ranya Rao, who has acted in several South Indian films, recently found herself embroiled in a controversy following her arrest at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The 31-year-old actress was detained on March 3 for allegedly attempting to smuggle gold into the country, an offence that has now raised questions about her involvement in a larger smuggling network.
कन्नड़ फिल्मों की एक्ट्रेस रान्या राव बड़ी मुश्किल में फंसती नजर आ रही है. उनके ऊपर 14.8 किलो सोने की तस्करी का आरोप है. शुरुआती जांच में ये सामने आया है कि रान्या के लिंक दुबई तक थे और वे काफी समय से सोने की तस्करी में शामिल थी. इस बार भी वे दुबई से ही सोना लेकर आ रही थी लेकिन बंगेलुरु एयरपोर्ट पर उन्हें हिरासत में ले लिया गया. डीआरआई के अधिकारियों ने उन्हें हिरासत में लिया है. फिलहाल एक्ट्रेस से पुलिस पूछताछ कर रही है.
