Bhishma came in the war wearing armour on his mighty car (ratha). He also demanded Parashuram to mount on a car but Parashuram said that Earth is like his car and Vedas are like good horses that carry him. Bhishma Pitamah was struck deeply and pierced by that arrow. Parshurama swiftly lost consciousness. Bhishma covers Lord Parshurama with arrows which were extremely sharp but Lord Parshurama sliced all of them into two by hundreds of arrows.

Mahabharat is an Indian television series based on the Hindu epic.
