उपवासासाठी फक्त साबुदाणा खिचडी, वरई बटाटा पदार्थ आलेच. पण काही उपवासाच्या पदार्थांमध्ये आपण वाळवण पण करतो. त्यातील वाळवणाचे पदार्थ म्हणजे कुरकुरीत उपवासाची चकली, साबुदाणा बटाटा चकली, साबुदाणा पापड, साबुदाणा पळी पापड, बटाटा चिप्स, बटाटा वेफर्स, बटाटा पापड. बिना उपवासाचे पदार्थ म्हणजे गव्हाची कुरडई, रव्याचे कुरडई, तांदळाची कुरडई, तांदळाचे पापड, रव्याचे पापड, पोह्यांचे पापड. बटाट्याचे वेफर्स करणं किचकट काम वाटतं पण बटाट्याचे चिप्स करणं अगदी सोप्प आहे. या दिलेल्या टिप्स जर फोल्लो केल्या तर बटाट्याचे वेफर्स काळे पडणे, बटाट्याच्या चिप्सना बुरशी येणे हे सगळे टाळू शकता.

Let’s see how to make 1 kg batatyache wafers today. You can store these wafers in an airtight container over a year and fry whenever you want. I will share lot many tips and tricks to make perfect wafersThese are crunchy, crispy and salty. It is a very easy and simple recipe. This can be a good option for fasting. It is an all-time favourite snack. Also there are lot many different papad, kurdai, papdya recipes on our channel. This is yet another delicious addition to the list. Try this recipe at home and write to me. You also can like, share and subscribe.

Ingredients:
• 1 kg Indori Potato
• A piece of Alum
• Water as needed
• 1 tbsp Salt

Method:
• While buying make sure to buy round potatoes and not oval so that the wafers will also be nice
and round.
• Wash potatoes really good and peel them.
• Wash them well again and slice them with a slicer.
• You can make thin slices with knife too.
• Wash the slices really good at least 4-5 times and soak them in alum water for 10 minutes.
• Remove the piece of alum and drain all the water from it.
• Heat up water in a pan and add salt.
• When the water boils well add the slices into it and cook them for just about 5 minutes.
• Swirl a piece of alum 4-5 times while the slices are cooking.
• Make sure you stir the mixture after every 2 minutes.
• Take the slices out, drain excess water and transfer them into a strainer.
• Spread a plastic sheet and immediately transfer the wafers on it to dry.
• You can use clean cotton cloth in place of plastic sheet.
• Leave some space between 2 wafers.
• Dry the chips in shed or under fan for about 2 days.
• When the wafers dry really good dry them under hot sun for 3-4 hours. Batatyache wafers are
ready.
• Store them in an airtight container.
• Make sure to dry them under hot sun for a day in the 3rd week of May.
• Fry the chips and sprinkle a little red chili powder, black salt or chat masala and cumin powder and
enjoy.
