2019.08.27~08.29 講於新加坡菩提佛院，共六個講次。
上一堂課，跟大家提的是眾生相，修行原因，諸佛出世的目的，到了今天下午，是在談發菩提心修念佛法門，我們先把周邊的道理建立起來，我們也舉了阿迦曼尊者，我們也在漸漸地跟你講說，確實是有人沒有佛種，那是什麼理由？那是因為他定業難轉，但不是不能轉，所以說，不發菩提心也是一種定業，他也是難轉，也就說難有這個菩提心，但不是絕對不能，終究要能，看誰來讓他發。
就好像定業不能轉，誰能轉，咒語能轉，佛的咒語能轉，菩提心沒有就是沒有，誰都不能讓他有，只有佛能讓他有，所以，沒有佛種對凡夫來說是真的，有人就是沒有佛種，你也沒辦法讓他有佛的種子，你無法去說服類似像阿迦曼這種大修行人，偉大的修行人。你看他有了菩提心還退咧，還捨咧，你我怎麼有辦法？所以他就是沒有種性的人，沒有錯。可是，遇到佛就有種性了，你放心好了，最終是一切眾生皆共成佛道，這是佛在最後《涅槃經》上所說這樣。
我們既然已經懂了，那就不用等別人再來，等佛再來發起我們的菩提心，我們就以發菩提心來念佛，這個就是今天要講的目的。
