Karadaiyan Nonbu is observed by the Tamil Brahmin Community in which married women prays and does poojas for the well being and long life of her husband. It is observed on the day when the transition between the Tamil months Maasi and Panguni takes place.This year it is on March 14 th, 2024 Thursday, 11 am to 12 am. Karadai is the name of the dish prepared on this day. This dish is made of rice flour and is very good health. Today we will learn how to make Karadaiyan Nonbu Adai both sweet and salt recipes.

Jaggery - 1 glass
Water - 1½ glasses
Boiled red toor dal - 2 tbsp
Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - ½ tsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Salt one pinch

Water 2 glasses
Red chilli - 2
Green chilli chopped - 2
Ginger chopped - 1 inch
Curry leaves
Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds -½ tbsp
Urad dal - ½ tbsp
Asafoetida powder - ½ tbsp
Boiled Red toor dal - 2 tbsp
Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
