If you want a large CNC router, and are happy to save a lot of money by making it yourself, it’s hard to go past the Lowrider2 from V1 Engineering. It is added to an existing table, which dictates the working area, and cuts down the price. In this video, I take my functional Lowrider2 and make it more user friendly, thanks to upgrading the belt tensioning system, cable management and electronics case.
I have a few large projects on the horizon where I expect to use the Lowrider2 in the future. If you want to build one of these, perhaps wait for the upcoming Lowrider3.
