北海道では、氷点下２０度近くなると、枯れた木々や枯れ草などに真っ白な花が咲きます。霧氷と行って空気中の水蒸気が木々に凍り付く現象です。太陽が当たるとキラキラと他の季節の花より神々しいかも知れません。そして、このような日の前日の夜が晴れていて翌日は快晴になります。このような現象を放射冷却現象といいます。真っ白な霧氷と真っ青な空。気温が低いですから飛行機雲も美しいです。そして、時間が過ぎて気温が上がると、結晶がヒラヒラと輝きながら、降ってきます。北海道はもうすぐこの季節になります。
