Hello all,
Welcome to a heritage train video, and the first Over the Border special for the year, but only just. To start off February, the Lachlan Valley Railway operated some shuttles out of Albury Station using railmotor 631/731. Four shuttles were run, heading north out of Albury to Gerogery Loop. After the shuttles, a run out to Wagga Wagga was made as a dinner train.
In this video, we arrive only in time for the arrival of the first shuttle, as we’d come up from Melbourne only on the V/Line. We stay locally in the Albury area. We also spot the two XPT services that pass through, seeing that the special has to give way to their operation.
Compared to the other videos we've uploaded recently, this is a shorter one.

The Lachlan Valley Railway is one of the accredited heritage operators in NSW. They operate a few trips per year on the mainline, but also operate on their home base railway in Cowra.
