*INGREDIENTS*
- 3 cups natural amaranth, toasted and popped (kiwicha*)
- ½ cup flaxseeds
- 200 milliliters warm water

*Amaranth is also known as kiwicha (quihuicha), bledo, bleo.

*NUTRIENTS*
Amaranth is considered of high nutritional quality, due to the high concentrations of lysine and methionine it contains.
Flaxseed is a good source of lignans, which are compounds known and studied for their possible use in reducing the risk of neurodegenerative, cardiovascular, and cancer diseases.
