On Tuesday, February 11th, I had the opportunity to observe a joint training session between the Samsung Life Badminton Team and two Japanese corporate teams. Thanks to the detailed post I previously wrote about the Samsung Life Festival, I received an invitation from a Samsung Life representative to attend and watch the athletes’ training.
This training took place from February 9th to 14th at the Hanulim Plaza in Yeongtong, Suwon. I took a day off from work on February 11th to attend the session. As a result, I was able to capture some rare footage.
I had the chance to watch practice games between:
• An Se-young vs. Kento Momota
• Seo Seung-jae/Kim Hye-jeong vs. Yuta Watanabe/Takuchi Maya
Watching these world-class players was exhilarating, even though it was just a practice match, I could feel the intensity of the game.
This joint training session was held at the Samsung Life Badminton Team’s gym, with the invitation extended by Samsung Life, and featured Japan’s NTT EAST Men’s Badminton Team and ACT SAIKYO Women’s Badminton Team.
