Do antidepressants actually work over the long term? Or are they making things worse for many people?

I discuss the flawed design of relapse prevention studies used to justify long-term antidepressant use and what the controversial STAR*D trial really showed about antidepressants in real-world patients. I also look at a devastating side effect of SSRIs: tardive dysphoria, as well as the lack of evidence justifying chronic SSRI use.
