First you must have data and installed ArcGIS
#second Open ArcMap
#From three ways of adding data:
1. Go to Main menu -File -Add data - Select the folder which contain your file
2.Go to standard toolbar - Add data by using plus sign - Select the folder, where your file found
3. Go to Arc Catalog -select your folder containing file, if not find your file go to "connect to your folder" then your file - Drag and drop the file.
