I return with another HAL 826 vod, this time for the most recent set of promos in November 2024. This one marks the first time that I managed to make S in a single promo attempt as well as the first time I've gone undefeated in said attempt, capping off an incredible winning streak in which I went 38-2 across the 40 games leading up to the promotion. This let me speedrun the rank up fast enough that, technically speaking, the HAL preset reached top 100, though of course that didn't last very long!
Overall, I'd say I got quite lucky in this one considering the very favorable matchup spread and lack of meta builds (looking at you, box) throughout, but more generally I'm definitely still improving with the HAL 826, for which the skill ceiling is just ridiculously high. You'll see me make a lot more conscious effort, compared to my older videos, to set up and land big combos with the charged blade, as well as to use some fancy techs (demon blade, AB quick turns) to squeeze just a little more out of the AC.
