In this video, I take a dive into the assembly of the controller box on my DIY OneWheel! This assembly took quite some time, and was a combined effort with two other future videos, the Lights Install, and the VESC setup!
This box from VOW appears to be out of date already, but even his first version here worked great for my purposes and I had no issues fitting everything into it that I needed to. I do wish the nut joggles for the cable glands were a bit better sized since the metal ones didn't work and the plastic nuts didn't fit. Other than that, the controller box is great, and the metal heatsink seems like an absolute necessity.
The performance of this box has been good so far, no creaking sounds, cracking, or weird noises, although, have not yet opened it up to check on it since assembling.
