In this video I rescue and renovate my childhood dollhouse. In order to make this video, I had to travel 600 miles from my current home in Nova Scotia to my childhood home in New Hampshire. As an artist and illustrator, I poured my imagination into every aspect of this project, from intricately hand-painted details to lovingly restored furniture, and not to mention my very own dollhouse wallpaper! A special shout-out to my mom, whose patience endured six years of my persistence to transform this cherished toy from my past!
This video is full of detail upon detail; I walk you through the entire story; from finding the dollhouse in the attic, to painting and repairing the old furniture, shopping for Maileg mice in Boston, putting up new wallpaper, painting trim, a full exterior paint job, and finally the end reveal!
