With the cost of food going up every time I go to the grocery store, I’m preparing a tummy warming pot roast that will last for several days.
A warm comfort dish for the winter days, I can serve it several different ways for variety.
CROCKPOT POT ROAST
11/2 pound boneless chuck roast
2 small potatoes cut in bite size pieces
6-10 baby carrots
1 cup green beans, fresh or canned
1 small onion sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can water
Layer all ingredients in 2 qt CROCKPOT as listed
Cover, turn on high and cook 3-4 hours without uncovering
After 3-4 hours check and reposition vegetables and soup, DO NOT STIR
Cook uncovered for 2 hours
Roast should be done now and ready to serve
Lots of wonderful gravy and fall apart roast
Enjoy.
