BYD has already made a splash in Europe with their SUVs but now they're coming for Europe's hatchback market as well with the release of the BYD Seal 06GT.
Chinese consumers aren't that interested in hatchbacks so when BYD launched the production version of the Seal 06GT at the Chengdu Auto Show last year, they barely even mentioned it. That's because it's not really for the home market, it's for Europe, and it's got the VW Golf, the Renault Megane e-Tech, and the Vauxhall/Opel e-Astra in its sights.
It's about to make mid-size hatchbacks fashionable all over again.
