Finally got the bridge completed! It took a while to determine exactly how I wanted to paint and weather it, as I wanted to portray a rusty, pealing paint look.
I used Ammo of Mig chipping Fluid other a base coat of rust colored paint. Over this I used several different Vallejo paints. The top layer is then wet and "pealed" with a stiff brush. Following this I applied various washes of rust, dirt, grime etc and also added some "tags".
The end rails were cut and the guard rails formed. To secure it all I soldered in several Fast Tracks Mainline PCB board ties, then glued in wooden ties to complete the track sections.
This video concludes the Central Valley #1900 Double Track Bridge build series. Installation of the bridge on the layout will be covered on our main channel, as part of the regular layout updates.
I hope this series was enjoyable and perhaps even helpful if you are considering building this kit. I highly recommend the kit, it builds into a very nice looking bridge!
