This Fall has been underwhelming as far as striped bass fishing goes on the Chesapeake Bay. Mild temperatures and drought conditions have the fish in an irregular feeding pattern. Recent cold fronts have finally dropped water temperatures into the 50's and we are starting to see fish school up and chase bait. On this trip, I head out with Micah and Layla to search for stripers in the middle Bay. As soon as we got out, we saw several groups of birds working. We chased around a few scattered schools before finally hooking into some fish. This should be the beginning of a great bite for the remainder of the fall.
