First fishing trip of 2021 on Lake Lanier was met with 30 degree temps in the morning and the water temps were hanging around 49 F. As usual, in the dead of winter, the striper feeding times tend to be shortened and fishing tends to be better in the afternoons. We saw that this was true on this trip, when the fish didn't start eating until after 11:00am.
