-12306: for booking trains in China - can pay using Alipay or WeChatPay
- WannaFlix : VPN to connect to banned websites/apps like Google/WhatsApp/Facebook/Instagram/NetFlix/ChatGpt, etc
- Google Translate: Offline Chinese (Simplified) to English and vice-versa downloaded in advance
- Meituan or Ele.me: Food delivery app (optional)
- Baidu: Chinese Google (optional)
In this video, I continue my journey from the last video at Shenyang and share my experience of traveling to Harbin. After booking a pre-planned train, I missed it due to the extreme punctuality of Chinese trains! Despite arriving at the station 3 minutes early, I learned the hard way that gates close 5 minutes before departure, leaving me with no choice but to rebook my ticket for the next high-speed train. Luckily, I made it to Harbin in just 2 hours!
Once there, I braved the freezing -16°C temperatures and explored Harbin’s beautiful Center Street, which was beautifully decorated for the season. The area had tons of food options and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot. After a stroll through the chilly streets and a nice dinner, I headed back to my hotel to rest up for an even more amazing adventure tomorrow!
