CO2 Capture using MDEA in ASPEN Plus V14 Part 1

In this video, we demonstrate the simulation of CO₂ removal from a feed gas using MDEA as a solvent in Aspen Plus. In this part, we focus on modeling the absorption tower, where CO₂ is absorbed into the solvent, and the stripper, where the solvent is regenerated under once through mode. You will also learn how to converge RadFrac 'the beasty unit operation in Aspen Plus". We have removed the CO2 from H2 and traces of CH4, CO, N2, H2O gaseous mixture. This process is also widely used in gas sweetening and flue gas treatment.
In the 2nd part, we close the loop by recycling the regenerated solvent back into the system.
