There was a time when I dreaded going to the bathroom. The process of defecation was incredibly painful for me. Not only was it difficult to pass stool, but when I did, it was dry and hard, accompanied by discomfort and even blood in the stool. I self-diagnosed as having constipation and possibly a mild anal fissure or hemorrhoids. After adjusting my diet and lifestyle, and undergoing simple medication, my constipation issues were resolved. Today, I want to share my personal experiences and discuss constipation with you. We'll cover common causes of constipation, its potential adverse effects, and how to improve it.
