Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This video is a recording of my live demo at The Gardener's Workshop Open Farm day on June 29 2024. I showed a lively crowd how I design five inch compote.

All the flowers I used were grown at The Gardener's Workshop. I always start with foliage. Lisa grew some lovely lemon basil. For line flowers I arranged celosia to point to the focal flowers - queen lime orange zinnia. I filled in the arrangement with some cosmos.

The crowd had some questions. I got into sustainability with my use of chicken wire. I also talked about my favorite subject - zinnia meltdown. We talked about hydration/re-hydration of stems. I gave my opinion on floral food. If you're interested in learning more about how to keep your flowers lasting longer, check out my Pro Tips to Make Your Flowers Last.
