Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This video is about the first steps to converting a Tronxy x5sa to a high-speed VZbot 3D printer.

Squaring up the frame is very important to have good prints. So while it may be a simple thing to do it is best to always triple-check just to make sure everything is all square.

It will save a lot of headaches down the road. Some things to note you will always need extra screws and bolts and t-nuts.For example, I bought a bag of 100 t nut plus I had some already... you would think I had way more than enough to build more than 1 printer right?

Here is a link to bom https://github.com/VzBoT3D/VzBoT-Vz330/tree/master/Assemblies%20BOM%20and%20STL/Frame

ope, I am short... I need to order more... Just for corner braces, it takes 64 t nuts and 64 screws.. then if I add corner plates it will be another 64 t nuts and screws that already 128 t nuts and 128 screws Not counting the amounts I need for motor mounts, z mounts etc…
so...I need another 100.

Some tools that help
bottle of Lock tight
A machinist square around 8 bucks

A flat surface if you got a marble counter use it! If you got a glass top stove use it! To build the frame then you can move it.
You can get the frame in a few different ways.
Get a used one for 100.00 watch my previous video on how to get one.

You can order the frame from mellow on AliExpress for around 100.00 including shipping.

You order custom cut aluminum extrusions some places will have them in various colors.
I do not recommend cutting them yourself unless you have a Good machine to cut evenly and very perfectly straight cut.

I recommend doing one of the above instead of buying a brand new printer just for the frame and a few usable parts
. Blind joints are a bit easier I make the holes a bit looser to be able to adjust.

Ok next video will be assembling the custom bed. See you next time!
