Welcome to my channel dedicated to DIY concrete decor!
Today I'm sharing an experimental project — a lightweight concrete shelf inspired by Gzhel, the traditional Russian blue and white painting style.
I'll guide you through the whole process: from mixing lightweight concrete with styrofoam, assembling the structure, smoothing the surface, and finally painting it with a Gzhel-inspired floral design.
This project was full of trial and error but the result is a beautiful, artistic shelf that's surprisingly light!
Gzhel painting dates back to the 14th century and is a symbol of Russian craftsmanship, featuring delicate floral patterns in vibrant cobalt blue.
I hope you enjoy watching this creative process and maybe feel inspired to try your own concrete art project!
