#saskatchewan
In this video I explore the adjacent communities of the city of North Battleford and the town of Battleford, which sit on opposite sides of the North Saskatchewan River in west-central Saskatchewan.
The communities have a combined population of about 19,000 people, and this area serves as a major hub for a large portion of the province. North Battleford in particular has a reputation for high crime rates, at times it has been called Canada's crime capital.
I had never explored the Battlefords before, and honestly I didn't find it to be too bad - although I was here during the day. I definitely don't know this area as well as a local, and I'm not going to discuss crime/root causes etc. in this one.
I just wanted to do a brief overview of this area and show you some recent footage of my exploration. It was interesting getting to know the Battlefords, a place I had only passed through many times.
I hope you found this one interesting and informative.
