以平溪天燈之經驗與想像所發想。
據當地平溪耆老所述，早期因位處於偏遠的山區，偶有盜賊作亂，居民會進山避難並待危機過後，以天燈為信號，通報村民回家。
如今時過境遷，天燈成為了祈福和許願的象徵，祈禱著、祝福著、思念著，又或是紀念過往的人事物。
「天燈雖終將落下，祈願仍輕輕高掛。」
快板以揚琴和樂團的樂句交互互動以及不安的和聲描寫盜賊作亂和動盪不安的意象；慢板以半音級進與和弦動音描寫天燈冉冉升起畫面。

"Rhapsody Ma Ka Ta" Composed by Lee Che-Yi
Inspired by the experience and imagination of the Pingxi Sky Lanterns.
According to the elders of Pingxi, in the early days, when the remote mountainous area was occasionally raided by bandits, the residents would flee to the mountains and wait for the crisis to
pass. By which time the sky lanterns were then used as a signal to inform the villagers that it is safe to return home.
Nowadays, the sky lanterns have become a token of blessing and well wishing. Some carries prayers, some express their longings, some commemorating people, or events from their past.
“Although the sky lanterns will eventually descent, the well wishes remain way up high.”
The Allegro depicts the chaotic scene of bandit raids and unrest, expressed using dissonant harmonies and the interactive exchanges between yangqin and the orchestra.
The Adagio depicts the serene scene of the sky lanterns gradual rise with Half steps and harmonic progressions.
