Merry Christmas from Malaysia! From Joel and Yanlan and Mom and Dad Bruner, seasons greetings and much love to you. Greetings from the Cameron Highlands, Central Malaysia.

Some things change with time, others stay pretty much the same, thankfully for THIS trip it seems like ALL the things that make me excited to visit Malaysia are just the way I want them to be! Delicious curry and rice lunches every day, abundant (and cheap!) durian and coffee, wonderfully chilly clear air in the jungle environments here, and a hugely diverse mix of smiling new friends to meet.

Tanah Rata is the most popular town in this area, and although Li and I have visited once already, we have come back to celebrate our anniversary as well as just hang out with my parents over the Christmas holiday. Just as I have enjoyed using my own teacher holiday times to visit all the incredible places surrounding Thailand, now I almost get a second chance to do all the same with Li (and its an added bonus when mom and dad can join as well - this is a great trip!!).

So today, for the first video bit of fun from this trip, I just want to share the lunch that I love the most. For me "Nasi Campur" rice and Malaysian-style curries and side dishes can never, ever, ever get old - I could have it for lunch every single day of my life and still be smiling after 80 years.

A big rice and side curry Nasi Campur cheers - LOVE from all of us. Merry Christmas.
