There are lots of different reasons that people enjoy model railroading. For me one of the things I enjoy most is model train operations--specifically switching operations. People sometimes think that you can’t have a lot of fun with a small layout. I think The Grunge, at only 15” x 90” in HO Scale, will prove them wrong.
In this video I operate this new small HO Scale Switching Layout. It's the first model train operating session on this layout. Model trains in action! Watch to see how it turns out!
If you've ever wanted to get into model trains, or build a small switching layout but didn't know where to start, this series is for you, because it's all about how to build a small layout! It's designed as an example of model trains for beginners. There's a lot to think about when building a train layout, especially in a tight space, and we'll cover everything you need to know on how to build a small layout. This is the eleventh episode in the series on building a small HO scale layout.
