It is a simple step stool, but you can learn the basics of woodworking. This video is for those who are just starting out with woodworking DIY, for beginners, or for those who have tried it but want to know few more basic things.
While making the box-shaped step stool, you will learn

The most important trick is "dry run". You may think it is troublesome, but if you learn this, you will be able to make anything. Holding a drill for the first time, or driving a screw... You may be worried about whether it will work or not. But since you practice with the real materials in dry run, nothing is easier to understand than this. Practicing difficult part and thinking about how to proceed while assembling them is a good experience. Also, it prevent mistakes and misunderstandings.
Dry run means to rehearse once in advance. Check the necessary tools and "position of your stand". No matter what kind of work you do, there are parts that cannot be fully imagined in advance. There are pitfalls in what you think is "easy.
The step stool can be made with few tools. I only showed you the necessary tools. With these, you can fully enjoy DIY. And you will know how to choose materials.
