Foodka: Santiniketan Special
In this episode of Foodka, I visited Santiniketan, a town in West Bengal that is famous for its artistic and literary heritage.
I travelled by road and stopped at Baro Choumatha, a place known for its mouth-watering Monda, a sweet made from milk and sugar.
I then checked in at Mayas Santiniketan, a beautiful hotel that offered a comfortable stay and an authentic Bengali thali for lunch. The thali included Shukto, Mutton Kosha, and other scrumptious dishes.
After a relaxing nap, I visited the Sonajhuri Haat, a village market where I found handcrafted items such as pottery, jewellery, paintings, and more.
I also tasted some homemade Rabri and Mishti Doi from a hawker, which were creamy and sweet desserts that were perfect for the hot weather.
