FreeCAD has a Layers systems. This video demonstrates how to work with layers in FreeCAD. Layers are part of Draft and BIM workbench, but they can be used in other workbenches too.
Layers enable users to organize their projects and also enable assigning view properties to elements in bulk. Layers enable to assign line color, line width, draw style (line type), face color, transparency and print color. Layers work similar to groups do.
The video shows how to create layers, how to manage them with Layers manager, how to move existing elements to and from layers, how to create new elements on a layer and other useful workflows associated with layers.
