On June 22nd 2012, Griffin Reinhart was selected 4th overall by the New York Islanders at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft following a successful junior career with the WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings. Over the next 8 years, the Canadian defenceman saw his tenure in the NHL vanish just as quickly as it began, spend much of his time in the minors before heading overseas to China for an unsucessful season in the KHL.
