Hey, it’s Bread here. Goro Akechi is definitely gay, and we were robbed from a romance route. To be frank, this video is much more an analysis of Joker and Akechi’s relationship throughout their depictions than a survey of evidence “proving” something. However, I am sure that my input defines their relationship as far more than rivals or even friends, that so much is certain. Of course, Akechi being gay is far from a “new” idea. Additionally, it is clear that it is quite intentional in the games, given the Confidant rank-ups, conversations, and other interactions between him and Joker. Atlus has a complicated relationship with queer representation (as there unfortunately prejudice in the games), and many videos on YouTube explore this side of the franchise as well, so I recommend you check them out (especially videos done by GarfieldKermit). This is by far my longest video to date, so I hope you enjoy it!
Alright, see you next time.
