So is the "Graflex Speed Graphic" the best "CREATIVE" large format camera still out there?
Ok clearly that's a very open question as we're all looking for something different from our large format cameras plus it's an old press camera and doesn't have the movements or Wow factor of say a Wista, Chamonix, Linhof, or Ebony but with the entry level Intrepid 4x5 Camera costing £380.00 (without a lens) it's certainly worth looking at...
The one thing the "Speed" has over most of the other cameras is it's "Focal Plane Shutter" which opens up a World of "Creativity" so you can start using Victorian Petval and WW11 Aero Ektar lenses plus just about any 150mm barrel & projector lens you can get hold of.
If you're just starting out on your large format journey you might well want to consider the "Speed Graphic" for it’s versatility and amazing creative benefits it still has to offer Creative Photographers.
