Hand Appliqué Turning Technique With Stabilizer (Ep. 109)

In this video we show how to do the turning technique first before doing The Stitch. Take the design pattern and trace the design onto the stabilizer. Cut out the pieces as smoothly as possible. The background piece should be 2" larger than your design. Fold and press it for creased registration marks. Cut out your design pieces 1/4" larger than the stabilizer. Glue the ends of the fabric first and fold them over. Slather the glue along the edges. Use the awl to pull in the fabric and press it down. Use an iron to set. Apply dots of Roxann's Glue Baste-It for placement of design.
