Hello! My name is Yoshie, I'm 64 years old.
It's now the middle of January, and it's getting colder and colder. This time, I would like to introduce three handmade ideas to help you stay warm during this cold winter.
First, based on my own experience of having trouble at a New Year's visit to a shrine, I made a coin purse with a clasp to make it easier for people to give money! The sound of it snapping shut is very pleasant.
For a snack, I made rice flour steamed bread without flour, this time with homemade kiwi jam. The fluffy, sticky texture is irresistible! Since it is gluten-free, it is also good for those who are concerned about flour.
And for dinner, we will make nokpe-jiru, a local Saga Prefecture dish that warms you from the inside out, full of root vegetables and thickened with kuzu flour. It is also recommended for those with sensitivity to cold.
This video is full of tips for staying warm in winter! Please watch it to the end.
