The abandoned track of the old Fukuchiyama Line that I walked this time was opened in the Meiji era.
At that time, steam locomotives were running along the valley.
The steam locomotive that runs through the valley where the clear water flows feels very elegant.
However, since it is a mountain route, it may have been difficult due to problems such as falling rocks.
The old Fukuchiyama Line was discontinued due to the opening of a new line in 1986.
After that, it was closed and it seems that it was off limits.
However, it was beautifully maintained in 2016 and officially opened to the public as a promenade.
Even though the line has been discontinued, it is interesting to be able to walk on the railroad tracks.
This time, I visited a place called "Sakura-no-en" from the abandoned railway trail.
This place used to be "Yuraku Sanso"
It was a place called "Ekirakusanso)".
Volunteers have revived the long-running satoyama as a "cherry blossom garden."
When I actually walked, I thought it was a wonderful place.
