Homemade Hummus
Ingredients:
1 15 oz can chickpeas, drained, rinsed
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup tahini
3 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil, pluse more for serving
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp water
paprika for serving

Directions:
In a medium pot, add chickpeas that have been drained and rinsed. Sprinkle in baking soda. Cover with water. Bring to a boil, and with lid on, boil about 15 minutes. Drain and rinse.
Transfer chickpeas to a food processor. Pour in tahini and lemon juice. Pulse until smooth. With food processor running, slowly drizzle in olive oil. Add cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pulse to combine. Add water if too thick and combine to smooth.
Pour hummus into a serving bowl. Drizzle with more olive oil and sprinkle with paprika.
Serve with pita chips and/or fresh veggies such as carrots and celery sticks.
