Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Klaus Dursch builds his skis out of wood. Every couple a work of art. The ski builder from Blaubeuren-Asch is a carpenter and he is crazy about skiing. His wooden skis should therefore not only be beautiful, but also be good. After all, he drives them all himself.

He never learned how to build skis, he taught himself everything. His skis are collector's items and are made in his spare time - simply because he enjoys carpentry and tinkering.

Klaus Dursch often causes a sensation with his skis. Even if people like to ask him about it, he doesn't want to sell them or even produce them on a large scale. Otherwise the master carpenter would have to give up his job as a teacher in a school. After all, he needs more than 40 hours for a single pair of skis.

No wonder when you see the accuracy and love with which he works on his skis.
There is not only high-quality wood in his skis, but also a lot of high-tech materials, which he packs layer upon layer with clever technology before it goes into the press.

He comes up with a new design for each couple. Shiny veneer made from different woods and lovingly used inlays make every pair unique.
